Shannon Morgan is This Week’s Caught in the Act Winner

The minute we read Shannon's nomination letter from Megan Gardner, we knew we had to have have a chat with her.

She's amazing on so many levels and was an easy selection as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

Just read that letter and you'll see why we were so amazed.

Gary & Bristol,
I’m a local pediatrician in Bossier. One of my favorite things to do is to spend Friday nights at Tinsley Field with my patients playing Challenger Little League. Bossier Little League hosts northwest Louisiana’s only Challenger division allowing children and adults with both physical and/or cognitive delays to experience the joy of playing baseball. Each child can have a field buddy. Many of these kids notice when baseball teams come to be their buddies that their uniforms are different - they typically have their name and number on the back of the jersey. I made it my mission to get our Challenger kids jerseys with names and numbers for the 2025 little league spring and fall seasons. While I’m great at ideas, this was not a mission I could accomplish. In stepped, the amazing Shannon Morgan. Shannon does not have a child that plays in the Challenger league, although all of her kids have volunteered as field buddies…. However, she volunteered to personalize the jerse ys of all the players. She’s already completed over 30 jerseys. One player named Amanda picked hers up from my office and said she’s 35 years old and has played Challenger since she was 4 years old and this is her first season she’ll have a personalized jersey! Another 6yo player named Audrey said she wanted to be 3 since its her favorite number but also 1 because she’s number 1. Her mom said, “13?” And she said absolutely not because she wanted to be 3 and 1. So Shannon did 3 as her main number with a 1 on the sleeve. Shannon has no idea how exciting this season will be when it starts up in a few weeks with all these amazing jerseys! [Which by the way Gary & Bristol, the kids would love to have y’all attend a game as well! Just let me know and we will get you in touch with the phenomenal, Coach Tabitha, who I’m pretty sure was a previous recipient of the Caught in the Act award! ]
Anyways, just want Shannon to know how much we appreciate all her hard work! Shannon would definitely never want or expect to be recognized for all this hard work but definitely think everyone should know what a huge heart she has!
