Flyboarding.  It's so new that most of us don't even know what it is.

A Flyboard rider stands on a board connected by a long hose to a watercraft. Water is forced under pressure to a pair of boots with jet nozzles underneath which provide thrust for the rider to fly up to 40 ft. in the air or to dive and fly through the water.

This looks like it's so much fun it could become the most popular of all water sports!

If you'd like to learn more, this Saturday, August 16, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, world-ranked professional Flyboarder Jake Orel will demonstrate his skills over the waters of Cross Lake in an event that is sure to entertain and wow the onlooker.

The event will be held at Port-au-Prince at 5301 South Lakeshore Drive in Shreveport.

They'll even have several giveaways including chances to win free flights. Be sure to bring your lawn chair!
