Salvation Army to Hold “Purses For a Purpose” Luncheon and Fundraiser

Every woman knows an outfit is not complete without a fabulous purse, and that ladies don’t ever leave home without their favorite hand bag.  And now, that very purse could provide much needed funds for the less fortunate. 

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is breathing new life into gently used bags by having a purse auction.  It’s called “Purses for a Purpose” and all the proceeds benefit The Salvation Army Shreveport-Bossier.

Coach, Prada and Vera Bradley are just some of the famous brands up for grabs.  Attendees can also walk away with more than just a new designer bag! Some of the purses will have surprises inside them thanks to corporate sponsors.

Take part in the event on Saturday, November 2 at The Salvation Army at 2oo East Stoner Avenue in Shreveport.  You'll enjoy a chili lunch and the purse auction from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Tickets are available for only $5 at the door.
