I'm in love with my crock pot. Seriously. I want to write it love notes and give it massage, instead I threw a hunk of raw meat covered in Dr. Pepper in it at 3 am this morning. And in 6-8 hours I'm going to enjoy the fruits of my lack of labor. This is the easiest and most fabulous "roast beast" recipe I've ever tried!

This recipe is the most useful idea I've gained from Pinterest. Of course, I get crafty ideas from Pinterest all the time, but this is the only thing I've ever put into action, because its so stinkin' easy and the meat just falls apart. I only made a few changes: I used a 20 ounce bottle of Dr. Pepper with my 3 pound roast, I sprinkled garlic powder, salt and pepper on my roast and put 2 tablespoons of thick Worcestershire sauce on top. I didn't add water or mess with cloves of garlic. I set the crock pot for 8 hours and this evening we will be enjoying the magic! Here is the original recipe:

  • Ingredients

    • 1 3-5 pound beef roast
    • 1 can Dr Pepper
    • 1 cup water
    • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
    • salt and pepper
    • 3 cloves garlic
  • Instructions

    1. Place beef roast in slow cooker
    2. Add in all other ingredients.
    3. Cook for 7 hours on low
