Maren Morris Releases Dear Hate to Help Aid Las Vegas Victims
I was sitting at home and all of a sudden I see this heartfelt post from Maren Morris. She had written a song and held onto it. Maren Morris enlisted the help of Country Music Legend Vince Gill. Maren Morris took to Facebook and said "I wrote this song 3 years ago, recorded it last year with Vince Gill, and always have fans asking when I'll put it out. I never knew when would be the right time, but I realized today that there's never a right time. Hate is everywhere, and I'm sick of not doing enough. In the darkest tunnel, there is still love & music. That's what it's here for. Here is Dear Hate. Any cent I see from this I'm donating to the Music City Cares Fund. Link for everything below. #LovesGonnaConquerAll" Morris shared "Dear Hate" a song she had held onto for so long, the song had me in tears. Yesterday evening I just wanted to get home and hug my dog and listening to Maren Morris' "Dear Hate" helped me not feel so alone. In a world full of so much hate.
Maren Morris dedicates "Dear Hate" to all the victims of the horrid Vegas Mass Shooting. Morris will be donating all of the proceeds to the Music City Cares Fund which was established on October 2, 2017 to help aid the Las Vegas Victims.
"Dear Love, Just when I think you've given up
You were there in the garden when I ran from your voice
I hear you every morning through the chaos and the noise
You still whisper down through history and echo through these halls
And tell me love's gonna conquer all
Gonna conquer all"
