There are a lot of toys that I remember fondly from my childhood.  My original Star Wars Millennium Falcon, my G-1 Optimus Prime, Weeble Wobbles - all leave me with a warm sense off nostalgia.  That being said - nothing compares to LEGO.  These bricks could be anything, and in my hands - they were.  So much so, the little plastic bricks are still one of the most sought after and popular toys on the market today.

This fall, Louisiana residents will gain a much higher level of LEGO availability.  A massive, LEGO outlet store is set to open in the Lakeside Shopping Center later this year.  A gigantic $10 million renovation is underway now at the popular mall in Metairie, and that will clear the way for more than 2,000 square feet of the most desired building blocks in history.

According to KFLY, this announcement is just the latest in a long line of stores that will hopefully entice shoppers to shop at the mall instead of online.  The shopping center has recently welcomed Kendra Scott, J. Jill, Z Gallerie, Journeys, Bra Genie, Sprint, Free People and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, and looks to add a Zara and Pokeworks location by this fall as well.
