
Louisiana Says These 10 Reasons Are Why They Hate Winter
Thanksgiving is still a little more than a week away, but after lunch that day, once again it looks like the kids will be able to play a game of football in their short-sleeved shirts.

The weather is looking extremely mild. In fact, looking at the 10 day long-range forecast from The Weather Channel, it looks like we certainly won't see any frigid temperatures at all and should only barely dip into the upper 40's for our low temps.
However, winter is coming! The first day of Winter 2023 will be here on Thursday, December 21 and according to onlyinyourstate.com, it's likely to be a doozie.
The Farmers’ Almanac predictions for the 2023-2024 winter are calling for a very chilly winter for the South Central U.S.
While I do enjoy the cold weather for deer hunting purposes, that's the only thing I like about it, and I have determined I'm certainly not alone in my disdain for winter.
I also love watching all the Alaskan shows on The History Channel. "Life Below Zero", "The Last Alaskans", "Mountain Men." Yeah, they've got me hooked.
While they have me considering the possibilities of an "Off Grid" primitive lifestyle, I can only marvel at those who do it in the temperatures these people endure. Not this boy! Nope! If it gets below 70, I'm looking for a jacket.
Contrary to those who would say, "you can put more clothes on, but there's laws against taking too many off," it's not a question of what's legal, but what's lethal. A lot of us can tolerate 100 degrees way better than 50 degrees.
