We did something we've never done before. We made a lawyer speechless! But, it was a good "awkward moment." Alexa Wilson wrote to tell us about Lisa Lobrano Burson, and it would be an understatement to say that we were impressed.

But even more impressed, and speechless, was Lisa! You could tell that she's not used to it being "all about her." In fact, Alexa knew that Lisa would react this way, but what an incredible tribute that Alexa penned to tell us of Lisa's kind heart and willingness to serve.

And that's why Lisa Burson is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

Just look at the nomination letter we got about her:

Where do I even begin! Lisa is an attorney in Desoto Parish who goes above and beyond for her clients! She’s an advocate for children no matter where they come from or their circumstances. She works countless hours emotionally and physically drained because she isn’t just any lawyer she feels their pain! Yes, she has rescued and rehomed so many fur babies needing some love! But above all of that she’s been a huge blessing in my life! Being a single mom coming from a horribly violent situation she helped pick me up dust me off and tell me it’s going to be ok! She offered me a job for my son to come with me she’s provided transportation for me and my son and helped get us in therapy! She’s always there for anyone who needs it, she’s the most deserving person I know! She’ll never admit how great she is but maybe you can tell her! Also tell her I happen to know a baby sitter for when she and Jason decide to go out to celebrate how great she is!

Lisa Burson, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
