Laura Morgan has taken something so devastating to many and found a way to make it better!  It's people like Laura that help you to see there are still good people left in the world and she's this week's Caught in the Act Award recipient!

And she wasn't even aware how much she had impressed her own daughter, Brandi Thurman.  Actually, it was Brandi's letter to us describing her Mom's selfless spirit and what she was doing for parents who've lost so much that made it easy for us to recognize Laura as this week's Caught in the Act Award recipient.

Oh, before you read this letter, get some Kleenex handy.

Laura Morgan happens to be my mother and she has a heart of pure gold. She is a very talented at sewing and she always has been. I've had hand made clothes, quilts and purses my entire life. If it can be sewn she can make it. Well, if it can be made she can make it be it sewing or not.
A few months back she read an article about these women is south Louisiana making angel gowns. An angel gown is for babies that are gone from this world too soon. So after reading this article she decided our area needed this too. She started a Facebook page and started getting donations of wedding gowns to make angel gowns. Laura contacted the women from south Louisiana and received some patterns and she got to work. Laura takes the wedding gowns and disembles them piece by piece creating these unique tiny gowns for these precious babies that didn't get to stay here on earth very long. One of our local dry cleaners had a ton of dresses (formals and wedding) that they typically donate to Goodwill when they are not picked up after a certain time and they donated them to laura for the angel gowns. Laura has turned a room in her house into an angel gown room where she stores the beautiful gowns and where she creates these tiny angel gowns to give to these mothers whose babies did not m ake it to this world or stay long with their mothers. Laura isn't a grandma yet we've actually just experienced our third pregnancy loss and though we've never been through the process that comes with a later pregnancy loss I know she feeld connected with each special gown she creates and donates. Laura is a beautiful selfless person who deserves every acknowledgement of her selfless acts. She donates her time and talent to do something for others and it makes me proud to call her my mother and blessed that God chose her for me. I hope you'll chose her for one of your caught in the act award recipients she deserves it and so much more.

Laura Morgan, thank you for being one of the biggest reasons why this is the greatest place in America to live!
