Major Road Work Set for LA 3015 in DeSoto Parish Starting Monday
For the next several months, traffic on LA 3015 in DeSoto Parish is going to be a little tricky.

An announcement late this week from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development gave drivers the heads-up that work on the heavily traveled LA 3015 will begin Monday, March 16, and isn't expected to be completed until late this summer.
DOTD advises that the $2.6 million project to repair a 6.7 mile portion of LA 3015 that stretches from US 171 to LA 175 near Grand Cane, will include work on drainage structures, full-depth base repairs, new asphalt paving to repair the driving surface, permanent roadway striping, and related work.
To facilitate the replacement of the cross drain pipes and associated asphalt paving work, alternating lane closures for the duration of this project will be necessary and motorists should pay attention to advanced warning signage and any flagging operations that are being utilized, and drive with caution through the construction zone.

This work will be performed "Weather Permitting" so inclement weather could modify the scheduled completion date.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
