Kristen Cole Is This Week’s Recipient of the Caught in the Act Award
While I'm not making light of your hectic schedule, I can certainly vow that I'll never complain about my little scheduling problems again.
Not since we read the nomination letter we received from Katie Strong about her very best friend, Kristen Cole. What Kristen accomplishes in a single day, most people wouldn't get done in a month.
And from our conversation with Kristen, we've decided she does it all with a smile! She's just that kind of person!
And she's this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award! Katie's letter about Kristen explains it all.
I would like to tell you about my very best friend and fellow teacher, Kristen Cole. Kristen is the most positive, happy, genuine, supportive person ever! She is literally the BEST of the best devoting every moment of every day to someone else. To begin each day, she takes care of her precious girls- one 4-year-old and two 2-year-old twins. She then spends the bulk of her work day being the kindest, most encouraging and loving teacher to her high school math students at Byrd. And when her traditional "work day" is done, she goes home and balances family life and her side business in order to provide the best life for her girls. See, Kristen and her spouse are both teachers, so saving for her girls' future or paying for one of her twin's medical expenses would be nearly impossible without additional financial support. So after a long day of teaching and being a mom, she works late into the night messaging customers, finalizing orders, and preparing packages to be mailed in order to give her girls the best life possible. And as if that wasn't enough to keep her busy, she is ALWAYS encouraging others through her positive social media posts and is there for you if you need her no matter what. Whether she is collecting funds to help supply a needy family a Christmas blessing, providing opportunities for customers to donate lotions to local nurses, dropping everything to watch your two kids all day when you experience a death in your family, or driving towards a catastrophic hurricane to donate her eggs to a family struggling with infertility (and then coming back to Shreveport to provide a safe refuge to that same family evacuating the storm)- she is always there. She has a busy life and could easily make any excuse, but Kristen is always willing to give all that she has and more to make someone else happy! I am so fortunate to call her my best friend and she deserve s this award more than anyone else I know!
Kristen Cole, thank you for being so amazing! You are a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live! And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!
Take a listen to the phone call we made to Kristen to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
