Mother Nature delivered an awesome day for this past Saturday's Krewe of Centaur Parade through Shreveport and as things stand right now, this Saturday's weather looks to be just as nice for the Gemini XXVI Mardi Gras Parade, with temperatures at the parade start in the 60's and only a hint of a chance for rain.

For those planning to line up along the parade route here are several things to keep in mind.  The parade will start at promptly 4:30 pm this Saturday, February 14, at the "Parade Start" banner hanging over Clyde Fant Parkway in Downtown Shreveport.

The parade will then proceed south down Clyde Fant Parkway towards Shreveport-Barksdale Highway. It will then turn west on Shreveport Barksdale Highway and move towards E. Kings Highway where it will turn left and head southward until the “Parade Ends” sign just north of Preston.

"NO THROW ZONES" will be clearly marked along parade route. Those zones are the sharp "S" turn, under the railroad tracks, on Clyde Fant Parkway and all bridges on Clyde Fant Parkway.
