Katie Beach Is This Week’s Recipient of the Caught in the Act Award

It's not often that we get to call someone that we know to tell them they are this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award, so this week was very special for us!

Not only were we blown away by her nomination letter, but we already knew of the extreme kindness always exhibited by Dr. Katie Beach and her husband, Dr. Ben Beach, at Shreveport/Bossier Family Dental.

The Good Lord worked overtime putting a heart of Gold into Katie! Just look at the nomination letter we received from Courtney Morris and you'll understand just how easy this week's selection really was!

I am aware that I am not the first person to write a heartfelt letter expressing their appreciation for someone. However, aside from that appreciation, I want to highlight the insanely beautiful person that she is inside and out! I want this to be a testimony of her selflessness, and to keep her selflessness as an untold story would be a disservice those who don't have the privilege of knowing her on a personal level. We can all learn from the kind, inspiring women she is. My boss, Dr. Katie Beach gives and loves without expecting anything in return. I watch her every day with her patients and employees. Not only does she treat each patient like family, but she also remembers every conversation that they have. She forms a bond with each and every person she meets, especially her patients. She genuinely cares about them as a person, and loves to know more about them individually and even their families! For example, one of her long-term patients needed to earn her Dental Merit Badge for BSA scouts. They asked Dr. Katie for her help and without hesitation she helped and even stayed after work to help them earn it. The most recent selfless act that she has done was for someone that she knows. A married, working mom of 3 kids was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 breast cancer. Not only is this mother a super mom, working in the medical field, she’s busy with all her kids are involved in many activities. With the financial burden of starting treatments as soon as possible, Dr. Katie knew the financial burden this mom and her family were about to endure. Again without any hesitation, Dr. Katie wanted to help this family. She anonymously paid off the daughter's extracurricular activity bill. Dr. Katie did this so that the parents would have one less thing to stress over. I've been her dental assistant for almost 13 yrs now and these are just some of the instances Dr. Katie goes beyond. She doesn't do them for the recognition, she does them because she genuinely cares not only for all of her patients, but people she meets everyday. She has a pure heart of gold and has touched the lives of so many! This is just part of why I want to nominate Dr. Katie Beach as the caught in the act award- She deserves to feel special!

Dr. Katie Beach, thank you for being so amazing! You are a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live! And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!
