Back in July, Jake Owen attended a party for with some Nascar drivers and decided it was a good idea to race them in go karts. As we know, he ended up rolling the vehicle and had to have surgery on his hand. Well it looks like the go kart injury has cost him the tip of his right ring finger.

Jake says, he picked up the guitar Sunday morning and all seemed okay. He said, quote, "My finger felt great." However, Monday morning it was bleeding. He said, quote, "So I went to the doctor and he said, 'That's not good.' Jake begged the doctors to leave it alone so he could perform at a concert that night and even asked them to postpone the operation to Tuesday, but they said no way. So they just went ahead and amputated the last half of it off."

Despite that, he still performed at his Summer Block Party in Nashville that night. And yes, he was in serious pain before the show. He said, quote, "I'm trying to pretend that it doesn't hurt right now but I'll be all good. It's just a finger. It's a little sensitive. Sensitive's a good word." Even more impressive he played acoustic and electric guitar during the show.
