Jake Owen Gets Surgery Following Go-Kart Accident

Country singer Jake Owen, who learned the hard way not to race go-karts against NASCAR drivers this past 4th of July weekend, revealed that he's headed in for surgery for an injury he sustained.

Owen shared his considerable pain with fans on his Twitter page ahead of his trip to the hospital, saying it was "through the roof." He also thanked them for their well wishes.

The country crooner included a photo of his hand, which rested in a cast of sorts with two of his fingers taped together.
