A 74-year-old former teacher has been convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old male student.

Former teacher, Anne N. Nelson-Koch of Wisconsin, has been charged with 25 felony counts of repeated sexual assaults of a 14-year-old male student.

According to Monroe County District Attorney Kevin Croninger, the sexual assaults occurred during the 2016-2017 school year.

The trial lasted for three days and the jury deliberated for approximately five hours before delivering their verdict according to wxow.com.

Nelson-Koch is set to be sentenced October 27, 2023 on the 25 felony counts of sexual assault which carry more than 600 years of prison time.

Assistant District Attorney Sarah M. Skiles asked the court to revoke Nelson-Koch's bond to keep her in custody, but instead the judge ruled to release her with GPS monitoring until the sentencing.
