Shreveport Police Arrest Woman for Stolen Vehicle, Drugs & Guns
SHREVEPORT, LA- Arrest made in stolen vehicle case
In the early hours of April 20, Shreveport Police Officers conducted a traffic stop, which resulted in the apprehension of a suspect and the recovery of a stolen vehicle. At approximately midnight, officers intercepted a vehicle determined to have been reported stolen. The driver, identified as 36-year-old Gequitta Myles, was promptly taken into custody for possession of the stolen vehicle.
Upon further investigation, officers uncovered additional evidence. A firearm and drug paraphernalia were discovered, leading to the determination that Myles was in possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. As a result, she faces charges related to the illegal possession of a firearm in addition to the initial charge of possessing a stolen vehicle.
This incident underscores the commitment of law enforcement to safeguarding the community and combating criminal activity. We commend the diligence and swift action of our officers in apprehending the suspect and recovering the stolen property.
