Here it is! Episode two of Kiss Country's 'Shreveport/Bossier New Comers Guide to Proper Southern Integration!'

With school out for the summer, we know it's high time for family vacations and moving! After all, it's not a good idea to move your kids during the school year if at all possible. With that being said, when new comers relocate to our area, sometimes they feel a bit like a stranger in a strange land.

This is my third time living in Louisiana... and Jay Whatley has lived here pretty much his entire life! That's why we feel qualified to not only welcome you to Shreveport/Bossier but to also offer you some advice on fitting in. After all, we want to make sure you're set up for success!

First, always remember that the word Southern should always be capitalized. We don't care what your English teacher says on the subject, they're wrong. We're proud of being from the South and we show it every chance we get from displaying fleur-de-lis, cheering on LSU's Fighting Tigers or wearing purple, green and gold even when it's not Mardi Gras season!

But just because things are different here, it doesn't mean we're bad. Eccentric is probably more appropriate, but I digress, here's the latest Southern primer aka Shreveport/Bossier's New Comers Guide to Proper Southern Integration... from the folks from so far down South, we still consider sushi bait.
