HUGE Child Pornography Ring Bust

A recent world wide child pornography ring bust has roots in the Ark-La-Tex. We all know that evil exists in our world and horrible things unfortunately happen, yet still I am shocked, enraged, and broken hearted by the sickness that some people engage in. To be part of this online based group users were required to upload an image of themselves molesting a child age 12 or younger. The more images they uploaded, the more content they received access to.

According to the story from KTBS the website contained violent crimes committed on children ranging in age from infant to 12 years old. The case will be prosecuted in Shreveport's U.S. District Court. The decision to prosecute here is directly related to the arrest of Edward Oedewaldt of Claiborne Parish whose computer led to the identities of 71 others charged in the case.

The offenders are spread over 14 countries in 5 continents. KTBS reports that 13 people have pleaded guilty so far with possible prison terms of 20-30 years.

20 to 30 years? That is all?

My primary concern at this point is the victims. These poor children and their families. What if some of the families are not even aware of the crimes committed against their loved ones? There are victims of this mans horrible crimes living right here in the Ark-La-Tex.
