Gary Allan revealed on Monday that he recently had surgery on his arm. In a post on Facebook, the singer lets fans know that he is doing well and will see them soon.

"Had surgery on my arm last week, but I'm on the mend," he writes on his Facebook page alongside a photo showing his arm in a sling. "See you on the road soon!"

In April, Allan re-signed with his longtime label Universal Music Group Nashville, which has been his home for 20 years.

“Gary is simply one of the most interesting vocalists and stylists that country music has ever known,” says UMG Nashville Chairman & CEO Mike Dungan in a release. “He is truly a unique artist, and we are honored and thrilled to be able to continue to represent him.”

Allan previously revealed that he plans to have a new record out soon. The singer is excited about the release, as he had the opportunity to produce the album himself. In an interview with Taste of Country last year, he said each of the songs on the record reflect his own life, even if he didn’t write them himself.

"My heart’s on every one of those songs," the singer shared.

While no date for the album has been announced, Allan will make several concert performances throughout the summer. He is slated to appear at the Taste of Country Music Festival this June in New York, as well as Minnesota’s WE Fest, in addition to several other festivals and solo dates.
