Downtown Marshall is preparing for their 36th FireAnt Festival on Saturday, October 13, 2018. The talented Sarah Hoobs will be putting on an amazing show for free. The festival kicks off at 8:00 a.m. and goes on until 11:30 at Telegraph Park in Downtown Marshall. You can dance on the street while different performers take the stage. Expect performances from The John Carter Band Reunion, Nate Bach, Keaton Bradbury a very talented 9 year old and Sarah Hobbs. Andrea Fox, Miss Texas United States will be the parade, Grand Marshal. Take the whole family out for fun and check out the expanded children's area. There will be a free petting zoo, monster inflatables, TourDeFireAnt long distance bike ride, FireAnt 5K, Toddler Trot, Kids K, a FireAnt Festival parade, a Diaper Derby, a Gurning Contest, a Chicken Chunkin’ Contest, and Kids Dance Contest. Your whole family will enjoy a Saturday full of fun! There are going to be several vendors so you can get your favorite fair food fix and check out all the other amazing vendors that will be out there.
