Farmer Plants 2 Million Sunflowers to Make People Happy
A farmer in Wisconsin has been busier than most during the pandemic. Scott Thompson is a 4th generation berry farmer and he was determined to bring joy to his community. How can you bring happiness to your community? Planting two million sunflowers of course!
Scott and his family welcome hundreds of guests at Thompson Strawberry Farm. The guests pay $25 per car and are encouraged to cut and take a dozen of the bright beautiful flowers home once they’re done wandering through the fields taking all of the most Instagram worthy photos.
According to Patch.com, Thompson Strawberry Farm has seen people from all over including Milwaukee, Chicago, and everywhere in-between. The Thompson family is welcoming of everyone especially professional photographers who are taking family photos. Mr.Thompson thought of all of the photographers when planting fields, he made a point to plant rows of short sunflowers for the perfect selfie so you can see a sea of yellow behind the big smile.
