The 27-year-old actor who played Chekov in the new Star Trek movies, Anton Yelchin, died in a freak accident Saturday night in his driveway in Los Angeles. When he got out of his car, it rolled back and pinned him against a pillar.

Disney and Pixar had a good weekend with Finding Dory having the biggest opening for an animated movie ever with $136.2 million. The previous record holder was Shrek the Third with $121.6 million in 2007. Keith Urban paid tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting at a show in Tampa by playing U2’s One and talking about them being people with ‘dreams, hopes, plans, just like every one of us.’ This is just one more reason to love Miranda Lambert! Her MuttNation Foundation had a booth at the CMA Music Festival and found homes for 41 dogs!
