Despite what Vegas had to say, the Indians shut out the Cubs last night 6-0 in game one of the World Series. Cleveland pitcher Corey Kluber became the first pitcher in the history of the World Series to strike out eight batters in the first three innings and five of them were caught looking. The Indians catcher Roberto Perez had two homeruns.
Former Indians standout Kenny Lofton was trying like crazy to get to Cleveland to throw out the first pitch last night and he finally made it thanks to an Indians fan who gave up his seat on the redeye from L.A. Of course everyone was cheering and the fan got a selfie with Lofton.
While all this was happening, the Cleveland Cavaliers were across the street getting their championship rings.
I think we call all agree that Quentin Tarantino makes some pretty twisted movies and I can’t think of anyone better to direct the sequel to Deadpool! Apparently I’m not alone because there’s already a petition to get Tarantino to do just that after the original director walked away from Deadpool 2 due to creative differences with Ryan Reynolds.
I bet his family members are worried but I have to applaud him for his decision! I’m talking about Tyler Farr who decided against a pre-nup when he got married earlier this month. He says that if she leaves him it’ll be because he deserves it.
We all know that Kenny Chesney is a pretty big deal. In fact, we are giving away eight, count them, eight, Kenny Chesney signed guitars with Sam Alex on Taste of Country nights and he’ll be a guest on the show coming up this Friday right here on Kiss Country 937! Because of Kenny’s significant impact on country music world wide, he’s being honored with the Pinnacle Award at next week’s CMAs. He’s only the third artist to receive the award after Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift.
