When you're own step-daughter writes this about you, you know you've hit a home run. And this is what Megan Davis wrote us about step-dad, Chris Hall. "He is a light in my world, and I think, very deserving of the Caught in the Act Award."

Once you've read a line like that, right after you get through singing Brad Paisley's "He Didn't Have to Be" in your head, you realize, this guy HAS to be this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award. And he certainly is! As a father of five, he recently showed them how to be a real man, with a simple act of kindness to the grandparents of a child with special needs.

You've just got to read the letter we got from Megan about Chris:

Chris is my step dad, and I am one of FIVE of his children. For as long as Chris has been in my life, he has consistently put others before himself and done anything to help someone in need. Chris gets his hair cute by the same lady at the same barber shop every few weeks, but this past weekend he had a different experience than normal. He waiting patiently to get his hair cut, and as he was called to the chair, an elderly couple brought in their special needs grandson for a hair cut. The couple asked if one of the barbers could give him a quick haircut, as he wouldn’t sit still for longer than five or ten minutes. All of the barbers in the shop took a step back, all being too scared to give the boy the haircut. The grandparents of the boy then very disappointedly said that they would take him somewhere else. While all of this was going on, the lady who does Chris’s hair voi ced that she didn’t understand why nobody would cut the boys hair. Chris took it upon himself to get up from the chair that he had waited twenty minutes for, and told the grandparents that the boy could take his seat and that he could wait. His barber then quickly cut the boys hair, and the family was on about their day. This is just one example of the acts of kindness that Chris has taken part in during his life. He is a light in my world, and I think, very deserving of the Caught in the Act Award.

Chris Hall, thank you for being one of the "good guys" and being a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Chris to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
