Just imagine how tough it is being a police officer in the world we live in today. Now imagine that you're that police officer and yet you still have a strong sense of compassion and a genuine love for others!

That's Brandon Provost! He's a man of very few words, but his actions are as loud as cannons and he's this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

When we received his nomination letter from his wife, Lewynell, we knew we'd found our recipient for this week. Just look at what she wrote.

Brandon Provost, a 14 year veteran on Bossier City police department, is not just my husband, friend, and father but an outstanding, caring, hardworking Bossier City police officer. Christmas Eve he was working in Bossier City and identified a homeless man sitting in an abandoned parking lot sitting in the cold. After talking to the gentleman, he discovered he just moved to Bossier City and was homeless. Temps ranged from 48-low 30's. Brandon arranged hotel stay for Mr. Bentley for 2 nights in a Bossier motel. Brandon then reached out to his friends, co-workers and family to see if anyone else was willing to help. Enough money was collected for Mr. Bentley to have a 2 week stay at the motel. Since, many people donated money for his continued stay at the hotel and have stopped to deliver food, clothing to him all because one person took time to make a difference. He deserves to be noticed for his act of generosity.

Brandon Provost, thank you for being so amazing! You are a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!

And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Brandon to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
