Talk about a big bass! This 14 pounder set a new record at the Poverty Point Reservoir near Delhi, La. and the honor goes to David Houston of Winnsboro!

According to a report on Louisiana Sportsman... Houston caught this 14.08-pound bass from a 2,700 acre lake located in the Poverty Point Reservoir. The fish was weighed on certified scales. The crazy part was it was bigger around than it was long. It was 23 1/2 inches long with a 24 3/4-inch girth...making it a new lake record!

Speaking of big bass...don't forget the one and only Gary McCoy will be at the LA State Fair Boat, Sport and RV show this weekend. That's Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to 3 pm.

Check out David Houston releasing the big'en back into the lake.
