While I was bobbing and weaving and bouncing along Bellevue Road in North Bossier Parish yesterday evening, making my daily trek to the house, the same thought occurred to me that hits hundreds or thousands of others every day - WHEN WILL THIS ROAD CONSTRUCTION BE OVER????  I'm not saying that the widening of Bellevue Road is a bad idea, and once complete, I'm sure will be a great improvement to the area.  I just never thought it would take this long.  I finally found out how much longer we have to endure the pain.  Right there in black and white on the Bossier Parish website -

The Bellevue Road Improvement Project started construction on January 4, 2011 and the anticipated completion is the last quarter of 2012. This project is a $7.5 million 3 lane road improvement project that extends from Hwy 80 to Winnfield Road. Best Yet Builders is the contractor and is progressing ahead of schedule.

Last quarter of 2012?  That's like 2013 isn't it?  I thank the Lord daily that though I have to drive through all 2.5 miles of the construction, I actually live north of it and not like those people who's driveways are more like motocross jumps....and not to mention the addition of all the beautiful construction equipment lawn furniture and plastic culverts adding such wonderful decor to the yard.   I decided it would be neat to shoot a little video.  While you watch, notice the people in the opposite lane having to hop up onto the concrete road edge to get through (tire companies love Bellevue Road now) and just imagine you lived in one of these homes.  Progress is painful....but what kind of pain killer can a doctor prescribe for this?
