In August of this year, Charles Hausner was convicted on 2 separate drug charges and sentenced to 3 years in prison.  After serving just over 3 months, he decided he had enough of the Southwest Arkansas Community Correction Center - so this morning, he left.

The 37-year old convicted drug offender was working near the Ermer Dansby Pondexter Sports Complex (commonly referred to as "Hobo Park") in Texarkana this morning around 8:45 when he decided to make a break for it.  Although authorities say that it seemed like Hausner made a spur of the moment decision to escape, they were unable to stop him.

Hausner was last seen running towards the nearby railroad tracks wearing a yellow prison jump suit.  Authorities say he is 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighs in at approximately 170 pounds.  If you have seen a man fitting this description, please call 870-779-2036 immediately.
