One South Carolina father vowed that he would not miss his son playing in the College World Series. This promise cost David Roth his job, but he has no regrets. David's son Michael Roth pitches for the South Carolina Gamecocks and has already been drafted to play for the Cleveland Indians. With Michael's college baseball career coming to a close, his father was faced with the difficult decision to walk away from his job or to miss his sons final shining moments with the Gamecocks. Michael tweeted today from the College World Series  "My Dad, family, and I thank everyone for their support" concluding with "Let's keep it rolling in Omaha"

Hopefully after the large amount of publicity this story has received Michael's dad will have no trouble finding work. David was selling vehicles in Greenville, South Carolina prior to walking away from his job for the sake of memories.
