3rd Annual Team Cade Benefit May 4 in Homer, Louisiana

Cade was born October 8, 2009 and since that very day, he's battled Cystic Fibrosis. CF is a deadly genetic disease affecting more than 30,000 children and young adults making every day a struggle for these angels. And though there is no cure at this time, researchers world wide have devoted countless hours in its search. 

To aid in funding that research, "Team Cade" was formed by some amazing people with an unparalleled love for this child. So far Team Cade has raised over $20,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

And their efforts will continue this Saturday, May 4 in Homer, Louisiana with the 3rd Annual Team Cade Benefit.

Activities will include the following:

Poker Run

Registration for the poker run will be at 8 a.m. at the Courthouse Square with the first bike out at 9 a.m. Riders will return to the Courthouse Square by noon. The registration fee is $25 per person, with a grand prize of $250.

Raffle

Raffle items include a $250 gift certificate to Delta Interiors for $2, a four-gallon fish fryer for $2, a Cajun grill for $5 and a 52” Exmark lawn mower at $10.

Silent Auction

A silent auction will be held throughout the event with lots of great items including autographed sports memorabilia, a day of golf, gift baskets, kids’ toys and much more! Items will be on display in the police jury building during the benefit.

Chicken Plate Lunches

Chicken plate lunches will be available for only $7 each.  Plates will include chicken, baked beans, potato chips, bread and a cookie. Deliveries to local businesses will be available as well.

The Tour de Claiborne Bike Ride which was to be held at this event has been rescheduled for a later date.
