What’s it Like to Star in an LA Film Prize Top 20 Film? Ask Star of “Addam” Alex Dafnis
The LA Film Prize Festival is coming to downtown Shreveport October 9-12th. I caught up with Alex Dafnis, the star of "Addam," to ask him what it's like to play the lead role in one of the Top 20 selections that could win $50,000 at the festival!
Don't forget, you can register to win VIP tickets to the LA Film Prize Festival (a $1,000 value,) so do that here.
Also, I volunteered to be the local ambassador for the New Orleans film-makers who produced "Addam." So, even though I haven't seen the film yet... I want them to win! Throw a vote their way when you go to the festival and I'll be your best friend. You can watch the trailer for "Addam" below.
Back to Alex Dafnis! Alex is a Shreveport-Bossier resident trying to make it in the film biz as an actor. He can add another "Top 20 selection" to his resume as this is the second year in a row that a film he starred in made it to that level at the LA Film Prize.
I asked Alex about how he got involved with "Addam."
Alex talks about auditioning and playing the role of a person with severe A.D.D.
Alex talks about what you can expect at the LA Film Prize Festival.
"Addam" is the title of a short film comedy that has been chosen as a Top 20 selection for the LA Film Prize. It is the story of a young man battling his attention deficit disorder during final exams. It's been described as a "love letter to those with A.D.D." You can see it at the upcoming LA Film Prize Festival. Watch the trailer below!
