Sportsman Expo: The 2013 Louisiana Powersports Sportsman‘s Expo, is the TRUE destination for fans of hunting, fishing, camping, boating, cooking and all things outdoor in Shreveport, Bossier City and the entire Ark-La-Tex region. This year‘s Sportsman‘s Expo will be bigger and better than ever before, thanks to our new home at the Shreveport Convention Center! (more)

Caddo Sheriff’s Department to Hold Fish Fry: From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, at the south substation, 9956 Mansfield Road, near Keithville. Money raised at the event will be used for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. (more)

Harrah’s Louisiana Downs to Celebrate Heroes Day: Saturday, July 20, 2013, the event begins at noon on the racing apron and the whole family is invited.Our local heroes will be fingerprinting children and teaching important fire and personal safety skills. They’ll also have a sports performance course set up so kids can test their skills and endurance. (more)

Haughton Farmer’s Market: Booths are set up each Saturday through Aug. 10 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Joe Delaney Park, on the corner of West Jackson and South Maple. (more)

Shreveport Farmers' Market: Operating hours are from 7:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Tuesday market, which features musical entertainment. (more)
