Dog is dog's best friend.

In August 2012, a 5 year old boy in Longview, Washington suffered a nasty bite on his leg when a pit bull named Lexi attacked him.  The dog’s owner, 40 year old Kimberly Vasquez, argued that Lexi was provoked by neighborhood kids and that the dog was afraid and not aggressive.  Nonetheless, she was ordered by a judge to turn Lexi in to be put down.

Animal Welfare, Inc. is putting the final touches on their 12th Annual Rummage 4 Rescue sale!  The sale will be conducted tomorrow, Saturday, November 16 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Barksdale Federal Credit Union at 2321 Airline Drive in Bossier City just across from Cavender’s Western Store.

We knew Mudstock attendees were party animals, but they took it one step further -- by actually bringing their pets to River Run ATV Park! We saw dogs cruising on ATVs, cats loafing near the front office, a lemur making new friends and even an uninvited raccoon with a taste for tortilla chips.

Marine Sgt. Ross Gundlach spent his tour of duty in Afghanistan as a dog handler.  During that time, one dog in particular, a yellow lab named Casey, became his constant companion.  So much so that Gundlach told Casey he'd look her up when he returned stateside.
