Shreveport Grassfire Near GM Plant [PHOTOS]

Approximately one hour ago a large amount of smoke was visible in the skies above West Shreveport. The cause is a grass fire near the GM plant, the fire actually spread onto a portion of the GM plant property. At this time we do not know the cause of the fire, but crews have been on scene for at least the last hour gaining control over this fire. It is possible that this is the same fire that emergency crews responded to and controlled earlier in the day. We will update you as soon as more details become available.
