Shreveport – Free Jazz Concert on the Red River

"Hot Jazz on the Red" happens each Thursday night Spring through early Summer courtesy of the Barnwell Center. This Thursday will be an excellent time to enjoy culture and live music downtown, as we celebrate the opening day of Mudbug Madness in Festival Plaza. After you check out Mudbug Madness, walk right across the Clyde Fant Parkway and enjoy "Hot Jazz on the Red"!

"Hot Jazz on The Red" starts at 6 pm

Bring your lawn chair, blanket, picnic basket and relax on the patio of the Barnwell Garden & Art Center to the sounds of HOT Jazz. Enjoy a weekly showcase of extraordinary talent. "Hot Jazz on the Red" kicks off every Thursday, April 19, 2012 through June 14, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

"Hot Jazz on the Red" attendees move and groove to smooth jazz often combined with a touch of the blues, and sweet jazz. This Series plays an important role in promoting jazz, introducing new talent, and helping to keep the music fresh and alive.
