You may remember Josh Lesniewski’s story from June 30, 2011, when he barely survived a fall from a 30 ft. ladder. Josh, who is only 30 years old, suffered a traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, which left him paralyzed below the waist. Despite his own struggles Josh is determined to help others who have also been disabled by such tragic events.

So this year “Miracles for Josh” is partnering with Sportspectrum to help Rob Rivet and David Daniel with their Annual 5K Race.

On Aug 24, Rob Rivet was in an ATV accident leaving him with a severe Traumatic Brain Injury. Rob is a 19 year veteran of the Shreveport Police Department, father to 6 and grandfather to 8. As a result of his accident he is permanently unable to work. He and his wife, Brenda, are inseparable as he now requires around the clock care.

David Daniel, on Dec 23, was involved in a serious car accident leaving him with a spinal cord injury, paralyzing him below the neck. Unfortunately, David will not be able to return to work, leaving his job at Libbey Glass after 28 years. David is married with 2 daughters and just so happens will turn 50 on race day!!

No doubt this has been and continues to be emotionally, physically and financially trying for all of these guys and their families. Your participation will help immensely in supporting them during their LONG roads to recovery, while helping raise awareness of Traumatic Brain Injuries and Spinal Cord Injuries.
