9 hours ago You may remember Josh Lesniewski’s story from June 30, 2011, when he barely survived a fall from a 30 ft. ladder. Josh, who is only 30 years old, suffered a traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, which left him paralyzed below the waist. Despite his own struggles Josh is determined to help others who have also been disabled by such tragic events.

About 3 years ago, Donette Muse was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After an 8 month bout of chemo all her doctors said that she'd won her battle with the Big C. However, a few months back at one of Donette's routine check ups the doctors detected a higher than usual CA-125 count (what Doctors use to help detect active Cancer cells) and informed Donette the cancer had returned.
4 weeks ago Haughton High School's JROTC is sponsoring the Jessie Memorial 5K this Saturday, April 27th at 8:30 a.m. at Haughton High. This memorial represents Jessie Meriwether, who was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away, and is representing others who have been treated with cancer.
