Is It Okay To Dress Children In Political Clothing?

There are so many cute smocked outfits for babies out there. But I just ran across a whole selection of politically themed outfits that might be controversial. Is it okay to dress children in politically themed outfits?

Should we send our children to church, daycare, birthday parties, etc dressed in an outfit that could strike a chord among other adults? I don't know. . . seems kinda wrong. I mean, of course my 6 month old doesn't care about politics. But she doesn't care about LSU football either and I dress her in purple and gold. But, its much less likely that someone would be offended by purple and gold than they would about me sending my child out in campaign propaganda. Unless they are from Alabama. But, we don't mingle with Alabama fans. (Kidding! My mother in law is from Alabama. . . she's an Auburn fan and we still love her.)

What do you think: is it innocent to dress your child in political clothing or is it a potential mess maker?
