When I was growing up, my mom was pretty good about not cursing around me.  I can remember about the worst thing she would ever say was, "Dern!" And if she got really mad, "Hecky dern!"

My dad on the other hand, had full command of his cursing vocabulary and used it liberally.  Despite his sailor mouth, I think I turned out pretty good.  I've only cursed on the air twice in my 14 year career.  Shhh!  Don't tell the FCC.  Both times were total accidents.  Once, I just mis-pronounced "Bossier City!"  I slipped up and added a "shh" sound to "City!"  Oops.
