The Boo Benefit actually began in October of 1998 after Boo (Charles `Boo` Chaler) was burned over 95% of his body in a welding accident. Several of Boo's friends knowing of his love for motorcycle riding, began the benefit in his honor while he was still hospitalized at LSU Burn Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. The money that year was given to Boo and his wife Patsy, who in turn donated the proceeds to the Percy Johnson Burn Foundation.

Since that year, Boo and many of the same friends continue to host the `Boo Run Benefit.`

This year's event will feature a Biker Ball, Two Poker Runs with a chance to win $10,000, live music, stunt shows, incredible food, bike shows and much more.
