Why Your Shreveport Wedding Will Be Much More Expensive This Year
One of the best things that I ever started doing was becoming a mobile DJ for weddings and corporate events. Although 2020 was one of the most difficult years and I lost a lot of gigs due to the pandemic, I continued to stay in the business knowing things would get better.
More Weddings are Expected in 2022 Than Ever Before.
According to CBS News, many in the wedding industry need to buckle their chinstraps and get ready for a record year. We will be seeing 2.5 million weddings this year, which is the most in almost 40 years.
The Wedding Report claims that wedding industry pros may not be ready for the surplus of weddings in 2022.
Why is 2022 the Year to Tie the Knot?
It's more of like the year that everyone could make it happen. We are in our third year of "uncertain times" and many couples decided to postpone their weddings for a later time. Well, that later time is now. This means that there is a high demand for wedding planners, DJs, florists, and photographers.
It's Not Just High Demand That is Driving Up Wedding Costs.
Shane McMurray, the founder of The Wedding Report, told CBS MoneyWatch that there will be a 10-15% spike in the amount people spend on weddings. Just like we saw inflation drive the price up of the day of love, we will see it keep climbing on the day couples invite to celebrate their love day.
Expert Claims the Average American Wedding Will Go From $24,000 to $27,000.
Shane McMurray with the Wedding Report went on to say that the high demand and rising expenses will jolt the price of a wedding. If a couple decided to go ahead with their 2020 wedding they could have saved upwards of $3,000.
