Louisiana Liquor Store First Ever To Have Wedding Chapel Inside
Ever found yourself in the liquor store and the urge to get married was so overwhelming you'd do it right there if it were possible?
Obviously the question is rhetorical, but if that urge did hit you, now you have that option if you happen to be in the New Orleans area.
The New York Post wrote that the world's first-ever wedding chapel within a liquor store opened on Saturday, November 16 at Chuck's on the Avenue in New Orleans.
The first couple to take advantage of this new "Chuck's Chapel" were from Donaldsonville and the groom stated that he and his new bride decided to exchange vows in this unique setting because they bot "love to drink." An Elvis impersonator officiated the services.
From what we've learned, Chuck's Chapel features a small stage with a couple church pews and a stained-glass window.
Owner, Charles Loescher, says that the new chapel is next to the refrigerated section in the store, so that when couples walk down the aisle, they literally, "walk down an aisle."
If this sounds like the perfect place for you to exchange vows, wedding packages start at $500, and Chuck's On The Avenue has enough room to host a small wedding reception for up to twenty people.
