Loretta Lynn at the Horseshoe Casino Tonight 8pm: Loretta Lynn's music has confronted many of the major social issues of her time, and her life story is a rags-to-riches tale familiar to pop, rock and country fans alike. (more)

New Movie: “Out of the Furnace” stars Christian Bale who takes the law into his own hands after the police fail to solve the mysterious disappearance of his brother, who's played by Casey Affleck. (more)

Breakfast with Santa: Ho, Ho, Ho! Bring the whole family down to Sci-Port to meet our special guests from the North Pole! Plan to make eggshell snow globes, a magic scratch ornament and gumdrop atoms! (more)

Country Christmas Festival: In Vivian starts at 11am. Activities include a concert, beauty pageant, food booths, arts and crafts, and ends with a parade through downtown Vivian. (more)

Christmas In Roseland: The Gardens of the American Rose Center is transformed into a whimsical winter wonderland featuring millions of twinkling lights, dozens of lighted displays, giant Christmas Cards to the Community, nightly entertainment, photos with Santa and rides on the Roseland Express train and tons of fun for the whole family! Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival: The festival kicks off Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Earl Williamson Park in Oil City, followed by an amazing fireworks display over Caddo Lake at 6:30 p.m. This event is FREE to the public! (more)

KCS Holiday Express “Santa Train”: Saturday at the KCS Shreveport Yard at 4 p.m. The train will depart once the last tours have been given, which should be around 7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. (more)

Cajun Christmas Festival: The first-ever Cajun Christmas Festival Saturday at Cash Point the Party Place, from 4 – 9 p.m. Bring your family and friends out for this event that includes a gumbo cook off, beer tasting, Cajun band and other special performances. (more)

The Nutcracker: The 2013 performances of The Nutcracker will be presented at Shreveport’s Riverview Theater on Saturday, December 7th at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 8th at 3:00pm. (more)
