In fact, next weekend, the whole town will be celebrating with everything from a Christmas parade to the annual Christmas festival.

The festivities will begin with the annual Haughton Christmas Parade starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 13.

The parade is always an exciting time for the Town of Haughton as they bring Christmas cheer to the community. The parade begins at First Baptist Church of Haughton and will take a ride down West Jackson Street, loop around Hwy 157 (N. Elm) and turn down West McKinley Avenue.

Just a reminder, but Haughton can no longer guarantee that no train will pass on the CPKC tracks through downtown, so please keep a very close eye on children who might be near tracks during the parade time.

Following the parade, activities will move to Haughton Middle School at 250 Champion Shores for the 9th Annual Haughton Christmas Festival!

The festival begins at 12:00 pm and will continue until 4:00 pm and will feature scores of vendors, food trucks, entertainment, and a (free) Santa Land kid zone!

Inside the heated, out-of-the-weather, Haughton Middle School, attendees will be treated to visits from Santa Claus, a number of kids' activities, special performances from local groups, food trucks, and a possible visit from Grench Haughton.

The Christmas in Haughton Committee and local community sponsors have once again come together to bring extra holiday sparkle to the Town of Haughton. Building on last year’s success, this year’s event includes exciting new additions such as the whimsical Path to the North Pole where families can follow a mapped route to view the best Christmas lights and outdoor décor displays in the area.

There’s also a special new treat, Storybook Lane, released each Monday evening in December on the Christmas in Haughton Facebook page. Watch as local notables share warm Christmas stories each week.

And don't forget, the following Saturday, December 20, 2025, the Bossier Parish Fire Department District 1 will have the annual Santa Day beginning at 8:00 am and kids all over the district will be treated to Santa's arrival on a fire engine as he travels the whole area.
