Water Restored to Most of Shreveport
There is some good news today about water service in the City of Shreveport.
The Mayor's Office sent out a news release this morning saying service has been restored to most of the city.
The Water Department restores water service except for a few isolated areas in the city. These areas are primarily, West Shreveport on the extreme side of West 70th and some residences along Buncombe Road. Crews are now able to access elevated storage tanks at Pines and 70th and customers should see their pressure increase throughout the morning.
The city also says some areas of Highland, which have been with no service now have water and that's the same in the Queensborough area.
“Everyone should have water by noon,” said William Daniel, Shreveport's Director of Water and Sewer. “If they don’t, it could be a line break that we are not aware of, or a private problem.”
The boil advisory remains in effect until the health department has taken samples and given the water the all clear.
If you still don't have water, get in touch with the city at 318-673-7600.
