If you had official city business to take care of this week, looks like you're going to need to take a rain-check.  Maybe it's a snow-check?  At any rate, you won't be conducting business at Shreveport's Government Plaza, any of the City of Bossier City administrative offices, or at least a dozen other official government for the next few days or longer.  Officials say it may be as late as early next week before the SBC starts to thaw and these offices can open for business again.

In Bossier City, that means not only are the city offices closed - that goes for City Council and City Court through at least Wednesday (February 17th). There will also be no trash pickup until the weather allows.  A Bossier City Council meeting scheduled for tomorrow has also been rescheduled for the 23rd of this month.

In Shreveport, all of the offices inside Government Plaza will be closed until further notice.  Garbage pick-up and Sporttran services will also be suspended until the weather allows those vehicles and the workers who operate them can do their job safely.

According to KTBS, Caddo and Webster Parish are following suit by closing their offices and only running what is considered to be "essential" services (animal protection, Sheriff's office, Emergency services, etc.).
