Most people that know me, know that I'm a complete space nut. I love this stuff, and really love reading about our state's involvement.

It's hard to follow up a state claiming to be a space nut while also stating in the next sentence that I didn't realize Louisiana was home to a NASA assembly center, but it is true. Thankfully, we learn something new every day.

In just five (hopefully) short years, NASA is planning to put boots on the ground once again on our little sister in the sky. We're heading back to the moon, and the long journey begins in New Orleans. The latest look at the monster rocket core stage was unveiled recently at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans. All the rockets have been received and are now ready to be placed into the world's largest rocket which will head for the moon in 2024.

This type of news simply pumps me up!
