Our thoughts are with those who've literally just begun to dig out of the remains of the tornadoes that leveled many areas of several states last week.

Seeing the pictures of trash covered lawns and the remnants of house slabs, we're reminded that this is all that remains of entire neighborhoods.  And it's a sight we know all too well.

Hey it's Gary McCoy and I remember too well, the tornado that hit Bossier City in 1978.  I was at Pierre Bossier Mall yesterday and remembered that it was that tornado that took away the old Don Drive In that was in that exact location.

Then there were the Easter tornadoes of 1999 that slashed a huge gash in North Shreveport and then crossed the river and mangled Benton.  Living proof that Mother Nature is the most powerful "weapon" on God's earth.

What we don't think about though, is that they don't just happen in the USA.  The footage of this tornado in Italy is one of the most frightening pieces you'll ever witness.

Seeing the actual destruction outside when the winds die down is way too reminiscent of what we've all witnessed here locally.  And how this building maintained power through this event has got to be the most mind boggling thing I've ever imagined.
