I thought I was going to have to cancel my trip to Glacier National Park for my friend's destination elopement. Turns out they decided that if Glacier National Park was open for tourists they were going to go through with heir wedding. I'm not going to sit here and tell you I was confident in traveling, I was extremely nervous and the thought of going through international airports freaked me out. No, I don't want to live in fear of COVID-19, but I also don't want to be the ignorant person who gets infected because I was careless. Although I normally catch a flight about 8 times a year, this trip made me uneasy. I didn't know what to expect.

I show up at the airport and it looked like it was shut down. it looked like something out of an apocalypse or zombie movie. What normally would take me about 30 minutes to get through security took us less than 5 minutes. The cabin in the aircraft was not even at half capacity. every other row had one traveler. I saw many travelers lay down for a nice nap during our 4-hour flight. I've been on several red-eye flights, and not even those middle of the night flights are that empty.

If you plan on traveling soon and will need to go through an airport don't forget your facemask, as most airlines now have this as a requirement. Remember to bring your hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and most importantly snacks. I normally grab a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich for breakfast at the Starbucks next to the Alaska Airlines gates, but not this time. Starbucks along with several other restaurants are closed down.

Here is what the airports looked like:
